I am a graduate of the Sauder School of Business at UBC. Upon entering this program, I had no clue what I wanted to do beyond completing it with flying colours. Four and a half years, one marketing specialization, one student exchange to Mexico, and three co-op terms later, I have come no closer to figuring it all out. Although I am a realist in knowing that business and money make the world go round, I am an equal idealist in loathing everything about that notion. So it is at this crossroad of life known as post-secondary graduation where I stand uncertainly poised to fight the banal and predictable life-path of a commerce graduate.

Moonlight Cinema attempt leads to more randomness

Well in the interest of getting to our next hostel (after an amazing stay with the Aussies), we had to cut that last double post short. Which is a shame considering this next one's a doozy of randomness. So after recovering from our night of mayhem the night before we all decided to hit the botanic gardens for an outdoor, moonlit cinema. The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly was on and we were in the mood for a little Eastwood.

Okay just getting timed out here...will try to continue in the evening.

So it seems time on the computer is hard to come by nowadays. I did manage to get some photos up on facebook though so if you're in the facebook know you can check them out. Unfortunately they take a ridiculous time to upload to this blog so I may hold off until I've caught up.

So searching for the moonlight cinema didn't quite turn out and we decided to have a picnic in the park instead. Luke pulled out the wine, Danny the tunes (he had an ipod and some speakers) and we proceeded to have a nice chat about, among other things, an eagle named Zorro that the city has enlisted to get rid of their cockatoo problem around the main Gallery. Apparently they like to peck out the lights which has cost them already $70,000 dollars to replace. But the best part...Zorro flys around all day blind scaring cockatoos with a leather helmet...

The link to the story is on my facebook wall if your interested!

Don't worry I'm keeping track of our activities in my journal and will try to post again soon!

Hey Annie!

My Vegas trip is winding down, but it has been a blast so far. JET was good times and I can't wait to rub our VIP treatment in!

Note: Not impressed with sexist club rules; I was asked to leave platform after i got up there with Danielle for Feedback.

Last night we hit up Studio 54 but we were worn out by 1 am. Tonight is Thunder from Down Under, so I'll be thinking of you!

Glad you're starting to party it up, I'd be disappointed if you didn't have at least a couple of forgotten nights!

I get back tomorrow, so I'm sure you'll hear from me then. Miss you!

Yes I think I do remember there being a "no boys" allowed rule for the risers. I'm so glad you're having a good time though. You'd be proud in that I went to a bar last night by myself:) I met some Belgians who are teaching me some surfing today. Keep your fingers crossed...apparently shark alarms are quite common at this beach.

I'm glad you and Daniel are having fun! Make sure you get your fill of the Vegas night life so we can compare notes when I get back.

Miss you
Annie
