I am a graduate of the Sauder School of Business at UBC. Upon entering this program, I had no clue what I wanted to do beyond completing it with flying colours. Four and a half years, one marketing specialization, one student exchange to Mexico, and three co-op terms later, I have come no closer to figuring it all out. Although I am a realist in knowing that business and money make the world go round, I am an equal idealist in loathing everything about that notion. So it is at this crossroad of life known as post-secondary graduation where I stand uncertainly poised to fight the banal and predictable life-path of a commerce graduate.

Falling off the wagon is so much easier than clambering back on

Okay, expensive internet time and selfishly not wanting to waste time in front of a computer may have gotten the better of me in Australia. So if I could just fast forward to one month after having gotten back, I might be able to get this blog moving again.

A lot has happened. The rest of Australia was amazing, enlightening, and conducive to a raging travel addiction. Few people are aware but I was literally moments away from throwing in the Vancouver working world towel, and moving to New Zealand for a couple of months before my graduation. Everything was set while I was in Brisbane and then the price tag to move my ticket back came in...and well it wasn't very feasible unfortunately.

So here I am back in Vancouver, ensconced in a tiny apartment (I will forgo a Vancouver rant here), waiting to move downtown in June with my friend Angie. After an ego busting search for a job over the past few months, I finally have a job with an up and coming marketing software company on the north shore.

That's right I'm settling in for the long-haul as of May 5th. In the meantime though is anyone in need of driver to get their car across Canada to Vancouver? I'm hatching a plan...so I'll keep you posted.
