I am a graduate of the Sauder School of Business at UBC. Upon entering this program, I had no clue what I wanted to do beyond completing it with flying colours. Four and a half years, one marketing specialization, one student exchange to Mexico, and three co-op terms later, I have come no closer to figuring it all out. Although I am a realist in knowing that business and money make the world go round, I am an equal idealist in loathing everything about that notion. So it is at this crossroad of life known as post-secondary graduation where I stand uncertainly poised to fight the banal and predictable life-path of a commerce graduate.

Blue Mountains and Attack of Newtown

Okay I have to run and book a hostel and wake up Jordan for checkout but I just wanted to drop a few tidbits for your perusal in case you were upset that there was no entry yesterday.

1. We went to Blue Mountains yesterday. Beautiful once again. Saw the three sisters, echo point, and all the amazing views. I was on a mission to find a koala bear (in retrospect I don't even think they're known to live there) and was cruelly rewarded when I spotted one hidden in the trees off the edge of the main lodge...I say cruelly because upon Jordan's closer inspection it turned out to be plastic...PLASTIC!!! I had to be content with the fact I saw a true Australian ant colony instead.

2. The black spot on the camera seems to come and go so maybe we can get some pics going when I wake up Jordan. We took some yesterday that we're fine so not to worry!

3. I tried to get us to a concert last night (wanted to see Jack Penate) but ended up lost in Newtown where a homeless man literally drooled on Jordan's face, I cockroach made a go at me, and, to be honest, I had a really nice night. Jordan and I had a good talk so it was actually my favourite so far. Jordan was convinced it was the gay district and was disbelieving when I pulled out my lonely planet to show him it was not....oh Jordan!

Okay so other than that I'm off to book a hostel for Manly Beach which we'll head over to tonight after seeing the opera house, paddinton market, and the famous bridge (the name eludes me at the moment) I'll keep you posted...
