I am a graduate of the Sauder School of Business at UBC. Upon entering this program, I had no clue what I wanted to do beyond completing it with flying colours. Four and a half years, one marketing specialization, one student exchange to Mexico, and three co-op terms later, I have come no closer to figuring it all out. Although I am a realist in knowing that business and money make the world go round, I am an equal idealist in loathing everything about that notion. So it is at this crossroad of life known as post-secondary graduation where I stand uncertainly poised to fight the banal and predictable life-path of a commerce graduate.

Back to the task at hand

Okay okay okay let's get back to why I started this whole ridiculous blogging thing in the first place. As you can see by my carefully crafted map to your left, our first destination is Sydney. We're leaving in less than a week now and I'm getting really excited to see some real life Aussies! Ya I know what you're thinking, "Whistler is way closer Annie", none of this crossing an ocean business needed. But what I keep telling Jordan is that we'll be seeing them in their real habitat. Like Whistler is the zoo and Australia is the wild...the wild down under of barbies, beaches, and mates!
Anyways, bottom line, I'm excited and just about all set to go. I may have gone a bit overboard with my packing (Jordan will thank me for the duct tape and multi-vitamins later, trust me), but I like doing it so don't tease. My nerdish tendencies are evoked most when I'm excited so please be prepared for a full month of nerdish comments and activities...sprinkled intermittantly between drunken stories and random rants.

Annie,

This is really well done. I am sitting in my cubicle going over tax forms on a Monday morning.

Much Love,
Aly P
